Areas of Emphasis and Related Experience: Nikki focuses her practice in the area of
public finance, with an emphasis on tax-exempt, taxable and municipal finance. She has
experience as co-bond counsel, borrower’s counsel, disclosure counsel and
underwriters counsel in financings involving utility districts, municipalities, school
districts, hospitals, colleges and universities, municipal water and sewerage systems,
state agencies and airports. Her experience in bond financings includes general
obligation financings, special facilities financings, limited obligation financings, ad
valorem tax-secured financings, tax and revenue anticipation financings and special or
limited obligation financings, such as utility system revenue-secured financings. Mrs.
Madison began practicing public finance law in 2008. Prior to entering the area of Public
Finance Mrs. Madison’s practice was focused on Real Estate and Construction Law
Matters with the main concentration in Real Estate Title Insurance matters.
Education: Southern University A&M College (B.A. Political Science, 2000); Southern
University Law Center (J.D., 2004) (Amercian Bar Association Law Student Division
Representative and Moot Court).
